Is there an age requirement? I used to be on a list for blood marrow donation, but they removed me when I turned 60. Would I be too old to donate plasma?
if your deferred at exactly four months you know they threw your sample a way probably because the staff prefers a a different demographic. (true for all plasma centers)
This is very informational and detailed. However, I know it’s just a informational video, but I am with everybody else on the, why is nobody wearing any gloves? Even if it is just an informational video.
@Marylou Oppelt the vitals technicians and the phlebotomists all wore gloves even before Covid. And also face shields too. But not masks. I imagine that because this is just a promo video, they didn’t bother to cover up.
Saving a life is what it’s all about. Nothing else matters. To that child with cancer, or that person suffering a rare disease, Thank you plasma donors!
Stop the hate on the no glove wearing.
I’m a plasma and blood donor too! I love to do this, It Is also good to have some rest, by watching TV or read a book. Plus you have car parking and breakfast free. In Italy we had different laws: we can donate plasma just every 14 days. And blood, 4 times a year for men and 2 times a year for women.
NO GLOVES NO WAY ??
