60 Minutes, the most successful American television broadcast in history, began its 52nd season in September. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 is still a hit in 2020. 60 Minutes makes Nielsen’s weekly Top 10 nearly every week and was the #1 weekly television broadcast three times last season.

The program still averages more than 10 million viewers, more than double the audience of its nearest network news magazine competitor. The average audience for a 60 Minutes broadcast is 150% higher than those of the network morning news programs; the audience dwarfs the number of viewers drawn by the most popular cable news programs.

About a million more people listen to the 60 Minutes radio simulcast in several major cities and on its companion podcast. Tens of thousands each week experience 60 Minutes online. The broadcast’s segments can be watched at 60Minutes.com and on the CBS All Access app. Its webcast, 60MinutesOvertime.com, offers content originally produced for the web, including behind-the-scenes video about the production of 60 Minutes stories and timely archival segments.

60 Minutes has won every major broadcast award. Its 25 Peabody and 150 Emmy awards are the most won by any single news program. It has also won 20 duPont-Columbia University journalism awards. Other distinguished journalism honors won multiple times include the George Polk, RTDNA Edward R. Murrow, Investigative Reporters and Editors, RFK Journalism, Sigma Delta Chi and Gerald Loeb awards.

60 Minutes premiered on CBS September 24, 1968. Bill Owens is the program’s executive producer. The correspondents and contributors of 60 Minutes are Sharyn Alfonsi, Anderson Cooper, John Dickerson, Norah O’Donnell, Scott Pelley, Lesley Stahl, Bill Whitaker and L. Jon Wertheim.

I currently have covid. Myself and my 7 year old daughter have it and as soon as I’m able to im donating my plasma. This sickness is awful. We are almost out of isolation God has been good to us even in the midst of the storm.

I tested positive on the 3rd & it was my 3rd time catching covid. Kind of weird but I catch it every year around the same time. I tried to donate today, but due to a major surgery I had July it wasn’t 6 months so I couldn’t donate.

Lot of us thought this was the plan in march. Roll out massive testing. Pay the recovered to donate plasma then treat newly infected before they get bad. Now may 31st and it’s just now getting coverage

By God’s mercy and grace upon me, He saved my life by blessing plasma donors and my team of doctors and nurses, to physically nurture me back to health, when my kidney rejected after my transplant 2 years ago. I had to undergo plasmapheresis for a week of very long, tedious and painful hours! God bless the donors for taking time out of their lives to donate, the doctors and entire hospital staff for taking care of me and encouraging me to be strong?! Along with ALL of their help, plasmapheresis help to save my life and I am forever grateful???????☝✨?!!!!!

Are mild symptomatic patients (runny nose, loss of taste and smell, weakness and fatigue, no fever) likely to test low for the antibody level? I really want to donate plasma before my antibodies fade away, but am worried about whether I’ll be eligible or not. I should be able to meet all the other eligibility criteria like body weight, hemoglobin, etc.

I had very mild symptoms as well and was able to donate my plasma after testing positive for antibodies. It doesn’t hurt to try, you’re still trying to save some lives regardless ?

This is a good idea this would be able to help out any country to get back on their feet I think I’m going to go donate some plasma granted if I don’t got covid-19 which hopefully I don’t

I am also recently a covid recovering from symptoms and i am looking into donating my plasma once im fully recovered and eligible but i am also concerned if this would reduce my antibodies in my system? Thank you

Do we know that the antibodies help fight it in other people or prevent it from returning to the donor? All of the information seems to change daily. When I go to work (at a grocery store) I have to read all the new signs. I wear a mask and gloves for 8 hours plus and sanitize my conveyor belt between each customer. So I can get a paycheck.
