HOLY MOLY Danny!!! Your story is so surreal!!! I am so happy for you to find some siblings and answers ❤️❤️. I can’t wait to see what else you discover about yourself!! Xoxoxoxoxo

Haley I didn’t find out where my mom got it done. They told me that I was a donor baby when I was 13 and we never talked about it again. They told me nothing, no doctors, no clinics, etc. I did the DNA test on my own, connected with two sisters and two cousins that were related to the sisters and one of the cousins replied that she knew who the dad was.
AFTER I told my parents that I found him, they told me a little more, but I still don’t know where it was done.

This is exactly why there should be laws limiting donations. The risk for incest increases when someone donates and creates this many donor children. I think it’s abnormal and disrupting the laws of natural selection and, in the end, evolution. It is great you found so many siblings, but from a more general point of view I think it’s highly disturbing that one man was allowed to father so many children.

@Melanin Magdalene Thinking about doing this as a last resort. Their most certainly should be laws!!! Savage. The children’s mum’s should be given the info of the other parents in case…the clinics should store them and send them out at 18 years old. This is why marriage is important. It’s a really nice thing to do though. In the UK the sperm donors by law don’t get paid very much. They do it out of the kindness of their hearts.

I have to break in with some reality… People have affairs and have children or children are giving up for adoption. They don’t know either if they’re dating a close blood relative. I guess parents need to be honest, but many times they’re not. I’d say people should take a DNA test just to make sure that they’re not siblings.

I’m not understanding. It’s just a reproductive strategy some employ. The experiment is how will people of the same sperm act after being raised separately.

People should be more concerned about the doctor that deceives people into thinking they’re getting different sperm when really it’s all his.

People are too trusting and lose with their bottled up fluids you ask me, and of science.

I personally value my sperm too much to even spill it on a napkin. I don’t think they could pay me enough. Oh well. It’s not that important to reproduce. I have my one and a possible and several aborted fetuses to mourn. How much are they paying for sperm anyway?

I’m choosing an open donor for my child. I just don’t know what they can expect from a donor in the future. Is it like a potential friendship? Is it like meeting someone in a professional setting? Is it a father? A stranger?? The donor said he’s looking forward to being contacted but what does it mean?

it really depends… my donor never expected to find us/be found. I text/email him once a month maybe, some siblings don’t care to meet him… I think it depends on the age and what your child wants, ultimately, it’s up to them… but it’s more like a uncle/friend type relationship

It’s nerve wracking and expensive to adopt. Where I live, the biological parents have a long window where they an change their mind. I can’t handle that. We lost our 12 year old son to cancer and my husband is no longer fertile. We opted for a sperm donor and are open about it.

As it stands, adoption is far too stressful. I can’t pour my heart into another child only to risk having them taken away. The biological parents would break me.

?….?You realize that all 118plus will need DNA test done to make sure your not dating a relative.
Same with your kids, grand kids, great grand kids……
?‍♀️ Tinder is gonna require a DNA profile in the future globule. Like what they do in Iceland.
